Anti-Bullying

Bullying is “Behaviour by an individual or group usually repeated over time, that intentionally hurts another individual or group either physically or emotionally".
At Soar Valley we do not tolerate any form of bullying whatsoever. Our anti-bullying policy is available to view on the school website.
We take bullying very seriously and as a community we are working together to prevent it from happening. To help us achieve this, we have a designated Anti-Bullying Ambassador who regularly promotes anti-bullying at Soar Valley. We are also actively recruiting and training students to become Anti-Bullying Ambassadors, as well as becoming a proud member of the Anti-Bullying Alliance.
Students are encouraged to follow the Soar Valley Way. This is formed of three main values: Effort, Participation and Respect. The Soar Valley way inspires students to be kind, empathetic and considerate individuals who are tolerant and respectful to all members of our proudly diverse community.
We are very proud of everything we do to make Soar Valley a bully-free zone!

Anti-bullying week 2025 Soar Valley College will be partaking in Anti-Bullying week from Monday 10th to Friday 14th November 2025. This is a national event organised by the Anti-Bullying Alliance which aims to raise awareness of the bullying of children and young people, in schools and elsewhere, and to highlight ways of preventing and responding to it. Students will receive assemblies to discuss this year’s theme of ‘Power for Good’ and how they can use their power and influence to spread kindness and positivity. |
